I bought my first place about two years ago, a nice loft-style apartment in Griffintown, Montréal and I needed something to cover my big walls. This painting is among the first four that I made for my living room.
I tried playing with texture for the first time. I had some DryDex spackling paste
left over from the renovations I had just completed and I used it to create some texture in this abstract painting.
I used oil painting and mixed some silver metallic pigments with linseed oil in order to get the two silver lines running through the canvas.
